What we collect

Only anonymous page-view counts. Palette has no accounts, no cookies, and no ads, and it never sends your colors anywhere. To see how many people visit, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which records the page you opened, the site that linked you here, and your browser, device type, and country. It does not use cookies or local storage, does not fingerprint you, and does not follow you across other sites.

Where your palette lives

Your current palette, light or dark mode, fonts, and design style are kept in the page address (the ?colors=, ?theme=, ?fonts=, and ?style= parts of the URL) so you can share them. Nothing is saved in cookies or local storage. It stays in your browser unless you choose to copy or share that link.

Clipboard and downloads

Palette writes to your clipboard only when you press Copy or Share, and creates export files on your device only when you press Download.

Third parties

Cloudflare, Product Hunt, and Google Fonts only if you pick a font that is not built in. The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and time of request) for security, and it runs Cloudflare Web Analytics as described above. Code and the built-in fonts, including every font a design style uses, are served from novoverse.app. If you search for and pick a different font, or open a shared link that uses one, it is loaded from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address and the font name (see the Google privacy policy). Palette never sends Google your colors. The Product Hunt badge on the preview page is an image loaded from Product Hunt, so Product Hunt receives your IP address when it shows. Blocking the analytics script (for example with an ad blocker) does not affect Palette.
